What is #morningmeeting at MS 158?

Being a student at Marie Curie 158 means every morning students attend #morningmeeting which is about building a school culture/community.#morningmeeting is where we take daily attendance. #morningmeeting is where we will hear the daily announcements. This is important information so be sure to listen! #morningmeeting is where we “check-in!” with ourselves and one another and learn important skills that keep our community safe and affirming!
#morningmeeting is where rules and routines are repeated such as: Hallway Etiquette: Keep voices low, walk on the right side, and move promptly to your destination to keep traffic flowing. Hall Pass Requirement: You must have a visible hall pass from your teacher at all times when out of class during instructional time. Dress Code: Hoods down, hats off inside the building, and ensure all clothing adheres to the school attire guidelines. The custodial staff does a great job cleaning up after a long school day, so we also remind students to Keep Campus Clean: Respect our school space by throwing trash in the proper receptacle.
If you like to engage in school activities and contest, like school spirit Friday and other cultural/community based opportunities: you must tune into #morningmeeting for the important information.


During #morningmeeting students are utilizing their time to explore big ideas, important topics, and positive mindsets together. These short discussions are meant to inspire you and help you prepare for a great day of learning.
