Whether you’re chilling with family, having a sleepover with friends, or just relaxing in your pajamas, watching holiday movies is a must. So here’s a list of some of the most fun and festive shows and movies that’ll make your break even better!


1. Home Alone (1990)

Okay, let’s start with a classic. Home Alone is about a kid named Kevin who gets left home alone when his family goes on vacation. At first, he’s super happy to have the house to himself, but then two robbers try to break in... and Kevin has to protect the house in the funniest ways. It’s full of laughs and definitely a must-watch every Christmas.


2. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (2000)

You can’t have Christmas without The Grinch! The Grinch is a grouchy green guy who wants to ruin Christmas for the people in Whoville, but he learns a big lesson about the true meaning of Christmas. The movie’s got lots of funny moments, and Jim Carrey (who plays the Grinch) is hilarious in this!


3. The Grinch (2018)

The Grinch was so famous , and the 2018 animated version is a must-watch! This Grinch is still the same grouchy, green guy who wants to ruin Christmas for the Whos in Whoville, but this time he’s voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. He’s super funny, and the animation looks amazing. The movie has lots of fun moments, and it’s got a great message about kindness, family, and the true spirit of Christmas. It’s perfect for both kids and adults, and the soundtrack is full of festive tunes that’ll get you in the holiday mood!


4. Elf (2003)

Elf is one of the funniest Christmas movies ever. It’s about Buddy, a human who grew up in the North Pole with Santa’s elves. When he finds out he’s not actually an elf, he heads to New York City to find his real dad. It’s filled with awesome Christmas spirit, and Buddy’s super funny and awkward. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a treat!


5. The Polar Express (2004)

This movie is magical. The Polar Express is about a boy who’s starting to lose his belief in Santa. He gets on a magical train that takes him to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. The movie has amazing animation, a great story, and lots of heart. Plus, it’s super cozy to watch on a cold night with hot cocoa.


6. Klaus (2019)

If you’re looking for something new, Klaus is a Netflix original that’s become really popular! It’s about a postman named Jesper who ends up in a snowy town and teams up with a strange man named Klaus (who just so happens to be Santa). The animation is super cool, and it’s a totally different and heartwarming take on the story of Santa Claus.


7. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

If you want something short and sweet, A Charlie Brown Christmas is perfect. It’s all about Charlie Brown trying to figure out what Christmas is really about, and of course, there’s the iconic Peanuts gang. It’s a classic with awesome music and a nice message about the holidays.


8. The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

In The Christmas Chronicles, two siblings accidentally crash Santa’s sleigh and team up with him to save Christmas. It’s packed with adventure, cool special effects, and Kurt Russell is awesome as Santa. It’s definitely a fun movie for the whole family to watch together!


9. The Santa Clause (1994)

If you like the idea of becoming Santa, you’ll love The Santa Clause. Tim Allen stars as Scott, a regular guy who accidentally becomes Santa after the real Santa falls off his roof. It’s funny, heartwarming, and full of Christmas cheer.


10. Mickey’s Christmas Carol (1983)

Mickey Mouse as Scrooge? Yes, please! In Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Mickey and the gang put a fun twist on the classic A Christmas Carol. It’s short, sweet, and has a great message about kindness and generosity.
