Our School Podcast!

It wouldn’t be a shocking statement to say that a good podcast is relaxing and informative. From murder mysteries and exoneration podcasts to film and music reviews, the world of podcasting has so much to offer.

But, a new addition to that very world has just arrived: OUR SCHOOL PODCAST! Posted on Spotify, we cover a variety of topics for the school to hear! But what is it and how does it work?

What is it? 

The podcast includes information about days school is off, important events (like the SHSAT), things happening in Civics (such as Career Day), and we also have students voice their opinions on certain topics. We speak about student life, clubs, latest information, or just chatting about life. We are also working on a “student voice” segment where students can share their opinions on various topics like favorite foods, an interesting quote, or a change in the school they believe should be made!

How do we run it?

Our podcast is proudly run by our very own Civics Council, who are dedicated to making a change to our school and sharing their progress along the way. The best part is: it's completely student run, and we always strive to input student voices and opinions! We post a new podcast every week, complete in each language (Spanish, English, and Chinese!). This allows us to connect with our peers who may have limited English, and creates a diverse community! We record every Monday in the Student Lounge, and Timothy edits it for us! It’s a group effort, and anyone can share their opinions!
