Marie Curie Art Students create their version of The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Over the past few months, the artwork around our school has been updated. The upgrades are made possible due to the hard-work of Art teachers, Ms. Abamont and Mr. Gordon, and of course the hard-work of the art students. The artwork consists of portraits, digital art, still-life, landscapes and pastel landscapes.

Have you taken the time to enjoy the marvelous artwork of our talented students in our school? The next time you decide to run down the hallway, slow down to a stop, and admire one of the many updated pieces of art around our educational institute. Starting from the front entrance of the building to the right of the auditorium.

As you enter the main office, take a brief moment to gaze at the independent art piece dedicated to our school. The artwork was created by Marie Curie’s very own Pablo Picasso/Vincent van Goh, who goes by Brandon Gomes.

Additionally, there is a new update to the art display on the 2nd floor. The artwork is done so well by our talented peers, you might mistake Marie Curie 158’s art gallery with artwork displayed in the professional/historical art galleries of NYC. Take note of the students’ names as you gaze at their colorful and thoughtful work. They may one day be famous and it would be cool to remember you went to school with someone whos work is now in a famous museum. (HINT: Get your autographs, especially in your yearbooks)
