Will Kep1er Disband or Not?

A new topic that’s been rising in the K-pop community is Kep1er’s disbandment. Kep1er is a K-pop girl group under the company WAKEONE. They were formed through the survival show Girls Planet 999, so their contract is temporary. They are set to disband on July 3rd of 2024, which is only a few months away now. Although they are set to disband, several people are saying that the companies of the girls are discussing whether they will renew or just let the contract end. I personally do not think so, and in this article I will explain why. 

First of all, WAKEONE clearly does not want to spend more money on the girls. Their difference in treatment compared to ZeroBaseOne is extremely evident and it doesn’t seem like they care about Kep1er as much. For example, while ZeroBaseOne gets big, pretty and personalized cakes, Kep1er gets small cakes that look extremely cheap. Another example is, while ZeroBaseOne gets a whole new photo shoot for their birthdays, Kep1er gets reused photos for their birthdays. Along with this, ZeroBaseOne is rumored (extremely implied by the members though, so almost confirmed) to go on a world tour in the fall when Kep1er has not even 3 months left until their disbandment and have never gone on a world tour. Their difference in treatment is so bad that it's hard to not notice at this point. 

Although I think this way, I think fans shouldn’t lose hope because there could still be a chance that they won’t disband, even if it’s little. On a positive note, Kep1er is releasing their last album in May. You should tune into their last album before they disband!
