As most Percy Jackson fans know, Wednesday, January 21, is the end of Percy Jackson Season 2. Since this is an important time for all Percy Jackson fans, everyone needs a treat to watch with their friends! If you’ve read the Percy Jackson books, you know Sally Jackson is famous for her signature blue cookies that she makes for Percy! So if you want to celebrate with your friends during a watch party, a blue cookie could be an amazing treat. I’ve tried this recipe many times, and it always turned out amazing! So here's the key to making almost as good as Sally!

Ingredients-

2 ¼ cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted, softened butter

¾ cup sugar

¾ cup packed brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

2 large eggs

blue food coloring

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  1.  Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

  3. Beat butter and sugars until well combined in the bowl of a mixer. Add vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time. Add 15–20 drops of blue food coloring. (It’s very important to add the color at this step, or else your cookies won't turn out the right color)

  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the bowl.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips.

  6. Drop dough onto a greased cookie sheet.

  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until desired the doneness is reached. Bake longer for crunchy cookies.

This is the PERFECT recipe if you want to have a watch party with your friends when the final episode comes out, because we ALL know it’s going to be insane. I can’t believe it’s already going to end, and we’re going to see Thalia in the last episode before they leave us on a cliffhanger! If you want therapy after the last episode, make sure to munch on some of these blue cookies 😀!
