Writers Block

Imagine this, you sit down trying to kill some time, but the second you open the keyboard, it feels like a barrier appears in front of you. Why is it that two minutes ago you were full of ideas, but now you’re an empty shell of what you once were? What is this phenomenon? Well, it's a common obstacle commonly referred to as “writer's block,” and in this article I will give you three ways to overcome it.
The first option is to stop writing altogether. I know, I know—I have stated the forbidden saying— but it's true! According to pointloma.edu, you should annually take breaks from writing to prevent overstimulation. After a day or two, you should be full of ideas again.
If that doesn’t help with your writer's block, then you might want to take a more goofy approach. Like writing about whatever comes to mind— whether it's a tv show, a book, an artist, heck, even writers block itself! (it’s how this article was made) .
Read! I know that this is the most generic answer ever, but reading might give you ideas. Like “The Giver”, which has inspired a lot of young writers. Books are a great way to connect your writing skills with the author’s.
In conclusion, writer's block is an enemy that confronts all writers. We can turn our enemy into a frenemy. When you are ever in doubt about what you are writing, consult a trusted peer to read your draft. Getting input from others can support your creativity. However, I hope that this article helps with your writer's block. Have a great day!
