Baby Monster and Their Controversy

I’m sure we all know some of the best girl groups out there are owned by YG entertainment, such as Blackpink with over 83.4 MILLION “blinks.” Heck, for all I know you could be reading this article listening to some of their hit albums, such as “Born Pink”, you might very much be a “blink.” But what we don’t know is about the new group YG Entertainment plans to release in 2023, BABYMONSTER, and the controversy that comes with it.

Yep, controversy because although many fans are buzzing in anticipation, many are seething. Why? All because the members are arguably “too young”. There are 7 members and every other week, they release one new member out into the pit of hatred and love with a single song or rap in this matter. Many argue that Chiquita (Riracha Phondechaphiphat) born on February 17 2009 is too young, as she is only 13 and claim this to be child labor. As far as we know, the age-range of the artists is 13 (Chiquita the youngest) to 20 years old (Ruka the oldest) . I don't agree with the term, “child labor” because as far as we know, these girls have been training for years in secret and do not seem to be forced. Additionally, this is not the fan’s choice. It is up to the members and YG Entertainment. What do you think? Is this child labor? Please share your opinion by filling out the form: https://forms.gle/kAzPcxCxM5L1X7Mo7
