Regents is the final exam of the school year, and there is a lot about the Regents that non-8th graders don’t know. There are Regents preparations and mock tests that count for our school grades.

Regents Preparation and Review:

The school has a full schedule of Regents preparation that starts during May and ends in June. This is from Monday - Saturday after school from 2:30 to 4pm (Saturday is 9-12pm). The Regents preparation classes are Algebra, US History, Foreign Language, Biology, and Earth Science (Earth Science is 7th Grade). For Biology, Regents Review is with Ms. Biondo, Ms. Weisser, and Ms. Peretz. For Algebra you have Ms. Chaves, Ms. Brown, and Ms. Cheng. For foreign language you have Ms. Chen, Ms. Wang, and Mr. Tejada, For US History you have Mr. Fabian and for Earth Science you have Mr. Puhalski. You will also get a mock test that you must take during the school day.  If you want to look at the full schedule, click the link: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1j5zbMpEKN7tfb35W3VmieldOEBrRF-7Pn-mucsCfx6Y/edit

Regents Mock tests:

The Regents mock tests are tests that prepare you for the actual Regents. This may count for your school grade as a test. During the 6th and 7th grade math state test, the 8th graders' Regents classes will take the mock Algebra Regents. There is also a Biology mock test (This counts as a test grade) and a foreign language mock test. This foreign language mock test is called checkpoint A, where you need to speak in Spanish or Mandarin to your teachers using a prompt (randomly chosen). This takes place after school only on Mondays, one-on-one with your teacher. You will get three chances to speak to your teacher in the language you chose.

Regents will be three hours long (People with IEP's get 6 Hrs). The dates for the 2026 Regents are June 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 23rd. June 17th is the Algebra Regents, June 18th is the Life Science (Biology) Regents and Earth/Space Science Regents (7th Grade), June 22nd is the Language Proficiency Exams, and lastly, the US History Regents is on June 23rd.
