Do you know about the horrible Hurricane Milton? It was a disastrous hurricane that made landfall in Florida, it was one of the worst hurricanes seen in the last few decades! Milton formed in the Gulf of Mexico and intensified in the course of only two days into a Category 5 hurricane. The winds alone blew dozens of houses to their doom.

What Happened After The Hurricane:

After Hurricane Milton hit Florida, 14 people were confirmed dead! Rescue teams came to people to help them get out of the mess. They couldn’t go before Hurricane Milton happened, so the elderly that couldn’t move were left there. But now the rescue team has come to get them. Trees fell on homes and killed some of the home owners. Millions of people lost their homes due to Hurricane Milton. Furthermore, Hurricane Milton also left millions of people without power. Without power they were left in the dark and had no internet connection.

What Makes Hurricane Milton Dangerous?

Hurricane Milton was just a tropical cyclone, but as tropical cyclones move it can turn into a hurricane as what happened to Hurricane Milton. In only 24 hours Hurricane Milton turned from a tropical cyclone into a category 5 hurricane. Hurricane Milton can also be dangerous even before Hurricane Milton makes landfall because there are something called “storm surges.” Storm surges will usually come from hurricane categories 4 and 5. Storm surges are when strong winds push water into the coast and spread throughout a large part of the area, as what Hurricane Milton did. Furthermore, Hurricane Milton also has different destructive effects like heavy rain, winds, and tornadoes. Hurricane Milton is creating  usually strong tornadoes on its edges. There are more ways Hurricane Milton can be dangerous, but these are what is making Hurricane Milton dangerous the most.

Hurricane Milton is definitely one of the deadliest hurricanes seen to us in decades. Over 7 million people lost their homes, and many decided to move away due to the risk of there being several hurricanes over the course of a few years. The Category 5 hurricane created massive storm surges and had horrible effects, such as wild winds, tornadoes, and more! Would you want to witness this hurricane?
