We are officially back to school! Some may disagree with my excitement when using the exclamation mark, but seriously what is there not to like about school. You walk in and are greeted by kind and smart people. Throughout the day, students get a chance to learn new ideas/perspectives and they get to take the skills acquired with them and use it in real-life.
Sixth graders, how many times have we got lost? Do not worry, we have all been lost in this building, even some teachers still get lost. We hope all 6th graders are having a not-so anxious time in our new school. Never worry, we are all here to help you.
To all seventh graders, you have all heard the words of the wiser say "7th Grade is the most important academic year of your life. Make sure you do well." Well, the truth is everyone is right, 7th grade is very important because if you work hard and you desire to go to a High School out of the district, you have to show it on the report card. Speak with your teachers and Guidance Counselors if you have any questions during this important time in your life.
With the first full week of the school year gone, has it sunk in for 8th graders/seniors, that this is the last year in middle school and then you are off to high school? What are some of your thoughts from the past three years of your academic career at Marie Curie 158? When we officially meet for the Curious Times, I will ask the senior class to lead the way. The 8th graders are seen as leaders and they should hand off the baton to a trusted 7th grader.
Calling all students, be on the look out for The Curious Times interest meeting during #morningmeeting. Looking forward to spreading the news.
