In the 2020’s, a lot of things happened, good and bad. But in this article, we will be talking about one of the best things to happen in the 2020’s, Spiderman 2! (Warning: spoilers ahead.)

Story

In my opinion, the story of a single-player game is one of the most important aspects. The story followed the two Spider-Men (Peter Parker and Miles Morales) constantly fighting villains, culminating in Peter having venom injected into him, and then Harry (Peter’s best friend) getting the symbiote afterward. He then wanted to conquer New York. The story was pretty long, but it constantly had new surprises with the plot and had new challenges often. The main villains consisted of Venom, The Craven, and Sandman. However, it’s not the best story I’ve played. Overall, I would say the story is about 7.5/10. Some problems are that there was not enough focus and story for Miles Morales. The story that he had just overlapped with Peter's story. Or that there were WAY too many side quests. Most of them weren't even that fun, and it was a bit too extensive and was brought up constantly, and their rewards when you complete them aren’t that great.

Immersive

This game, at times, can really make you feel like you are swinging across the city. It could be because of the HD rumble on a PS5 controller, which makes vibrations when you are fighting or swinging. The game's graphics are great as well. The abilities are really fun and reflect the characters. Their skins are really great too. They have many different skins from many Spider-Man universes, such as the across the universe skins, to Spider-Man 2099. You can change abilities and buffs to your preference and playstyle. This comes to show how customizable and immersive it is. You have free choice in this game as it is an open-world game. This means you can choose what missions to do or sidequests at any given time with no due date. 9/10 for immersiveness.

Gameplay

The gameplay is arguably the best part of the entire game compared to the other two games in the trilogy. It has hundreds of unique, customizable features in the menu. And that's not even factoring in the fighting and swinging mechanics. The gameplay is extremely well-made and also impacts the immersion. Depending on the task or mission, you can switch between Miles Morales and Peter Parker. They both have a completely different set of attacks and playstyle. Miles' attacks are more electric-based, and Peter obviously uses webs and the metal tentacles shown in the Infinity War movie. The combat is very satisfying and diverse in bosses. The gameplay is fairly hard, but the difficulty is customizable to how hard you want it. I would say that it's a 10/10

Conclusion

While Spiderman 2 has its ups and downs, it is overall a very solid game. And compared to other AAA games of this time, it far exceeds them. As of right now, we believe that it is one of the best, if not the best, AAA of the 2020s. If we do the math, the overall rating is 8.83/10
