Should the "Gulf of Mexico" name be changed to the “Gulf of America” ?

Donald Trump, the President of The United States, and Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the President of Mexico, currently have a conflict. Donald Trump has recently taken action to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” After signing a contract, he renamed the Gulf of Mexico. And now, Google Maps now shows the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

This has enraged Mexico and its people, because although the Gulf of Mexico is legally part of the United States, it still is a part of Mexico and Claudia Pardo had given a speech saying that they have a right to the Gulf of Mexico and that Trump has no right to change the name of a piece of land that still rightfully belongs to them.

Right now, as many people can see, it appears that Donald Trump has officially renamed the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

This has infuriated Mexico even more. In fact, it infuriated them so much that Claudia Pardo stated that if Google Maps still showed the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, she would take legal action and sue Google.

Other Mexicans have joined in this, and now Mexico is not only threatening to sue Google, but now they are threatening to sue all US tech companies. I, in my opinion, agree with this. There have been protests as well, as Mexico started exercising their fury at Donald Trump and his ignoring of this issue. Claudia Pardo promises her people that she will solve this conflict and assures them that she will make things right. She now is stating that her government will file a civil lawsuit against Google unless it remains it’s stance and withdraws the Gulf of America from the maps. If it doesn’t, Mexico will take action and sue Google for renaming their piece of land. Mexico is making it clear that they are not going to allow this injustice slide. They are going to do whatever it takes to make sure their piece of land is rightfully named the Gulf of Mexico again. I agree with them.

Donald Trump is still acting that he acted for the best and hasn’t said anything about the conflict yet. But his ignoring of the demands and the anger of Mexico will have to stop eventually. He will eventually have to rise into the conflict and face it, because if he doesn’t, he and many US tech companies might find themselves paying Mexico a huge amount of money.

Right now, the conflict has not been suppressed. Right now, we people will just have to sit back and watch the conflict continue. Let’s see how this conflict ends. And we shall see if the Gulf of Mexico will permanently become the Gulf of America.
