A Second Hurricane shortly after another just swept through?
Recently, after Category 4 Hurricane Helene (throughout September 24 to around September 29, 2024) another monstrous hurricane has made landfall in Florida. However, currently in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, people are still recuperating from the devastating effects of Category 4 Hurricane Helene. Helene has consumed towns with expansive amounts of water, destroying roads, bridges, and the houses of those living in Southeastern America ravaged by the Hurricane. With another monstrous, and increasingly dangerous hurricane rampaging throughout Florida, a few million of America’s people are unquestionably frightened.
As Hurricane Helene’s storm surge, winds and rainfall are nearly record-breaking, in addition to a death-toll of 231 people. It's undoubtedly certain that with another horrendous hurricane currently happening in Florida, the people of Southeastern America will certainly undergo unfortunate consequences. The most unfortunate areas in Southeastern America are probably Tampa Bay and Cedar Key, which were severely devastated by Helene and were currently flooded with water originating from Hurricane Milton (another devastating and alarming hurricane). Additionally, another devastating effect of Hurricane Milton included the power-outage which affected approximately 2.2 million people, disconnecting them technologically from approximately 7.9 billion people.
However, Hurricane Milton (moreover Hurricane Helene) hasn’t solely tampered with the lives of those living in Southeastern America by destroying and disconnecting/isolating those people, but also by disrupting the economy. Furthermore, research validates that the damage from the overwhelming hurricane could be a drag on fourth-quarter GDP, though the true economic impact of storm damage can be difficult to estimate. In addition to an estimated amount of tens to billions of dollars in property damage and lost business from the destructive hurricane.
Overall, because of the instantaneous production of Hurricane Milton only several days following Hurricane Helene, the circumstances of Florida (in addition to Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia) are unquestionably catastrophic. Because of Hurricane Milton (and Hurricane Helene) the lives of those living in Southeastern America have been devastated and disconnected/isolated by these Hurricanes, in addition to an unstabilized economy.
