Looking back on this year, I realize that I had a lot of fun. 6th grade was a time for me to discover the things I like and 7th grade was the year for me to flourish in it. This year in Curious Times, I was able to work with a lot of people with amazing ideas. Not only did we write about things that were happening in the school, we also wrote about things that interest us and might intrigue others.
Over the course of a school year, we became determined journalists, and a close group of friends. This year, I think the thing I enjoyed the most was seeing new people join and make the club even better than it was last year. The club doubled in size, and so did the site! This year we posted over hundreds of articles. I’m definitely joining this club again because the atmosphere is so welcoming and fun.
I encourage everyone reading this to think about joining the club, and if it’s full like this year you could email Mr. Ng about contributing some articles, stories, or comics you may write/draw occasionally!
To all the 8th graders leaving this year, (yes I know this wasn’t in the prompt) I wish you the best of luck in high school next year. I know it’s going to be new and strange and exciting and different, this school is full of exceptional students and you are probably one of them! I would like to thank the ones I know for accepting me and making me your friend when I was a timid 6th grader. You guys rock! And a little special shoutout to: Jonathan Richamn, Timothy Um and Enoch Yip. The leaders have left me with how to have fun and how to flourish in the Curious Times. Also to my other pookies who aren’t in The Curious TImes with me. I love you so much!
