Rudolph Nureyev
Rudolph Nureyev was a soviet-born classical ballet dancer. He was a part of Paris Opera Ballet and in 1983, he even became the director of it. He performed several classical ballet dances such as the Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Raymonda, Cinderella, and La Bayadère.
Marie Taglioni
Marie Taglioni was a star during the Romantic Ballet Era, and she was trained by her father in ballet. She's the first dancer to dance en pointe for a whole entire show, which led to pointe becoming more popular in ballet. She used floating leaps and arabesques in her style when dancing.
George Balanchine
George Balanchine was an American dance choreographer who was a leader in the Neoclassical movement. He started a dance company in Paris , but Lincoln Kirstein (co-founder of New York City Ballet) opened a Ballet school in America- so he founded the School of American Ballet in 1934 and then New York City Ballet in 1948.

Misty Copeland is an American Ballet Dancer, and she was the first black woman in the American Ballet Theatre who was promoted to principal dancer. She's also one of the most famous contemporary ballet dancers who made their mark in the world of dance.
