The girl K-pop group has 4 members, Roseanne Park (otherwise known as Rosé), Jennie Kim, Jisoo Kim and Lalisa Monaban (otherwise known as Lisa). Blackpink is under yg entertainment in the kpop industry. Blinks
The name for Blackpink fans are otherwise known as blinks. Where did the term blink come from? Why is it called a blink? Well, it comes from the front and back of Bl-ackp-ink. So, if you are a fan of Blackpink you are considered a blink.
Jisoo
Jisoo is the main visual. She was born on January 3rd, 1995 and is a Capricorn. She is the unnie (oldest) of the group. She can speak Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. She was born in Seoul, South Korea. She is 5’3 in height. Jisoo became a trainee with yg entertainment in 2011 and was the third member of blackpink to be announced on June 15, 2016
Jennie
Jennie is the main rapper. She was born on January 16th, 1996 and is a Capricorn. She is the second oldest of the group. She can speak Chinese, English, and Korean. She was born in Gyeonggi, South Korea. She is 5’4 in height. Jennie became a trainee with yg entertainment in 2010 and was the first member of Blackpink to be announced on June 1st, 2016.
Rose
Rose is the main vocalist. She was born on February 11th, 1997 and is an Aquarius. She is the second youngest of the group. She can speak Korean, English and Japanese. She was born in Auckland , New Zealand. She is 5’6 in height. Rose became a trainee with yg entertainment in 2012 and was the last member of blackpink to be announced on June 22, 2016.
Lisa
Lisa is the main dancer. She was born on March 27th 1997 and is an Aries. She is the maknae (youngest). She could speak Korean, English, Thai, and Chinese. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She is 5 '5 in height. Lisa became a trainee with yg entertainment in 2012 and was the second member to be revealed on June 8th 2016.
Disbanding
As the contract with yg entertainment needs to be renewed, only Rose has signed the contract. Although it wasn’t confirmed, Blackpink could possibly disband in 2023. Lisa was offered almost 81 million to move to the western music industry. As we don’t exactly know why the other members haven’t renewed their contracts it was assumed by blinks that they wanted to move on to another company or even start their own company. So, as yg posted that nothing has been confirmed and that they are still talking it out Blackpink will probably disband soon in the path of 2023.
