
Who thinks they are the fastest runners in school? Anyone think they are in better shape than their teachers? Well, prove yourself! Do you think you can outrun Mr. Ng and Ms. Weisser, join the Marie Curie track club! Have you gained a little extra weight from the holidays? Eat one too many pieces of chocolate from your Valentine? Well, by joining the track club you will belong to a running program designed to promote physical fitness while having fun. You will be able to set goals and work on accomplishing them during the club. Maybe you want to increase your speed, your endurance, or the distance you can run. There will be drills for all of that.
Did you make the basketball team? Well, whether you made the basketball team or not, running track is a great sport to get involved in to get in shape. Last time there was a track club was about two years ago and teachers like Ms. Weisser will be designing running courses around our school to challenge each student. Track club is the place where students will gather due to their interest in running, staying active, meeting new people and improving your overall fitness.
If you are interested in joining the track club please see Ms. Weisser in room 200 for a permission slip. Meetings are scheduled to be held on Tuesday from 2:20 - 3:50pm (tentative).
