Fun Winter Activities To Do In The Winter!

🎄Winter is officially here!!! ❄That also means that it’ll be cold with lots of snow!  For all the students and teachers, winter break is awesome, but can get boring at times. Wonder what to do when you can't go outside or during winter break? You can do some at home DIY fun! Read on to find multiple fun activities to save you from boredom!!!(ノ≧∇≦)ノ 



DIY Snowflake:   

Materials:

-Scissors

-Paper (square paper) 

Instructions:

1. Take your piece of paper and fold the top corner to form a triangle.

2. Fold the triangle again to make a smaller triangle.

3. Fold the triangle one last time.

4. Find the corner that is connected to the middle of the paper.

5. Take the scissor and cut out any shapes you want on the folded triangle. (Don't cut the tip connected to the middle of the paper, it is not flappy)

6. Unravel the paper to reveal your masterpiece!


DIY plate snowman

Materials: 

-Paper plates

-Scissors

-Black construction paper

-Orange construction paper

-Brown construction paper

-Glue/Glue stick

Instructions:

  1. Take 2 paper plates and glue them together to look like big snowballs for the body of your snowman.

  2. Get scissors and black construction paper and cut the black paper into any type of hat, and 7 circles.

  3. Take the orange construction paper and cut it into a triangle for the nose of your snowman.

  4. Take the brown construction paper and cut it into, 2 stick arms for your snowman.

  5. Glue the hat you made onto the head of the snowman.

  6. Glue the carrot nose onto your snowman.

  7. Glue 2 black circles above the nose to make eyes, then glue 3 circles under the nose to make a mouth, and then glue 2 circles to make the snowman's buttons.

  8. Glue on the snowman's arms on the sides of the second snowball.



DIY Paper Hand Penguin

Materials:

- Black construction paper

- White construction paper

- Orange construction paper

- Scissor

- Penicil 

- Glue/Glue Stick

- Any round thing to trace

- Googly eyes

 Instructions:

  1. Take a black sheet of construction paper with a pencil and  trace your hand.

  2. Take a white sheet of construction paper with a pencil and trace a circle onto the paper.

  3. Take an orange sheet of paper and cut out a small triangle for the beach of your penguin.

  4. Cut out your hand shape on the black paper and the circle on the white paper.

  5. Glue the round white circle to the middle of your handshape cut out.

  6. Stick on your googly eyes and HAVE FUN!!! 


DIY Frozen Winter Tree Finger Painting

Materials:

  • Brown washable paint

  • White washable paint

  • Any color construction paper (Best if not white or black)

  • Paper plate or paint palette

 Instruction:

  1. Pour some brown and white paint onto a paint palette or paper plate.

  2. Dip your finger into the brown paint and press it onto your background paper.

  3. Form a tree shape with the brown paint and your finger.

  4. Wash your hand and dip your finger into the white paint.

  5. Give the brown tree snow along with the bottom of the paper.

  6. Let the paint dry and show off your masterpiece! 


DIY Paper Chain

Materials:

  • Any 2 color papers of your choice

  • Scissors

  • Ruler

  • Pencil 

  • Glue or tape

Instructions:

  1. Take both of the sheets of colored paper you chose along with the ruler and pencil, and trace straight lines onto both the papers.

  2. Cut out the strips from both papers.

  3. Take a strip and tape/glue the edges together.

  4. Loop a strip through and glue the edges together.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have no more strips.

  6. Decorate your house with the chain. 


Snowie DIY Non-Nutonian Fluid:

Materials:

  • Corn-strach

  • Water

  • Bowl (Should not be tiny)

  • Food dye (Optional)

  • Tool to mix

Instructions:

  1. Take a bowl and pour in some cornstarch.     Tips: Do not drain 

  2. Pour in some water after pouring in cornstarch.  in sink put in 

  3. (Optional) Add food dye.                   bag and throw out 

  4. Mix the cornstarch and water together.      in the trash.

  5. After a little mix it more with your hands.
