Laufey is a wonderful singer who blends jazz, classical, and pop music into her songs. She started to rise to fame with viral songs such as “Street by Street”, “Let You Break My Heart Again”, and “From The Start”. In this article I will tell you my top nine Laufey songs (not put in any particular order) and the meanings behind them.

1.Too Little, Too Late- This song is about regret and lost love. In this song Laufey is singing from a man’s perspective about how he regrets not chasing/fighting harder for the woman he loves who is now engaged. There is something truly addicting about this song that I would definitely recommend for anyone to listen to.

2. Magnolia- This song is about a woman that is comparing herself to this mythical perfect woman who she refers to as “Magnolia”. Magnolia is pictured as a very pretty, popular woman who the singer wants to be like.

3. Promise- This is a song about someone who is struggling to let go of a past love even after saying they would stop talking to each other. It's a playful yet calming song.

4. Letter To My !3 Year Old Self- In this song Laufey is addressing her younger self and telling herself to embrace her dreams, and not to care about what others think. This song is just really amazing in its own way.

5. From The Start- This song is about a girl who is in love with her best friend. It's a classic by Laufey that you will enjoy listening to.

6. Silver Lining- This song is about finding goodness in a bad situation. It gives off that cozy vibe that I adore.

7. Snowwhite- This song is about the pressure to live up to the cruel beauty standards in the world. In this song she is singing from her heart and you can definitely tell.

8. Lovesick- This is about a person who had fallen in love quickly and is now longing for that person.

9. Lovergirl- This song is about a girl who has fallen in love with someone who is far away from her. In this song she is aware of the fact that she is acting like the girls she used to tease. It is set in Tokyo, has a Bossa Nova rhythm, yet is still in English. The only word I will use to describe this song is amazing!!!

Ultimately, you don't need to relate to these songs to love them. You can study, dance, and even sing with them. Next time you are looking for a song, try these out!💛
