Usually, Stan Twitter revolves around discussing public figures — primarily those in the entertainment industry such as actors and musicians. Stan Twitter, often shortened to “stantwt” is the side of Twitter where people stan (meaning like) celebrities. This term is used mostly for people that like K-pop artists. Who To Stay Away From and How To Stay Safe -
Staying away from certain people on stantwt is very important. Just the littlest things can anger people on stantwt, and their reactions are very dramatic compared to the actual insult. Nugu- Nugu is a word in Korean that means, “who”. It is used to refer to K-pop groups that aren’t really popular. An example of this word being used is, “My favorite nugu group is Ciipher y’all should stan them.”
Ijbol- Before you ask, no this word isn’t a Korean word. Many people often mistake this for being a Korean word. It means “I just burst out laughing.” This is basically the “lmao” of Twitter. An example of this word being used is, “IJBOL MY OOMF JUST BOUGHT A 12 ARTIST PASS ON FROMM INSTEAD OF 12 MONTHS.”
Delulu- Although this word spread more to outside of the K-pop fandom, it basically means delusional. An example of this word being used is, “Guys I think I’m too delulu I’ve been hallucinating Soobin in my room lately.”
